Ethiopian Harrar coffee is a rare and exotic arabica coffee organically grown on small farms by many different farmers in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. A good Harrar coffee has a very interesting dry edge to it, as well as a surprisingly pleasant, slightly fermented aftertaste with nutty notes.

Tasting Notes: Chocolate, nutty, cedar

Roast: Medium Roast

Process: Natural

Region: Oromia

Altitude: 1,500-2,120m

Producer: Different small producers

Variety: Heirloom

Instructions

8 oz: Makes approximately 25 cups of coffee
12 oz: Makes approximately 35-40 cups of coffee
16 oz: Makes approximately 50 cups of coffee

BREWING TIP: Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.

GRIND only as much as you need for one cup or one pot of coffee.

CHOOSE the correct grind. Fine for espresso, medium for automatic drip, and coarse for French Press.

MEASURE ground coffee to taste. Start with two level tablespoons of ground coffee per six ounces of cold filtered or bottled water.

STORE in an airtight container to protect the flavor and aroma and ensure rich, fresh-tasting coffee. Do not freeze or refrigerate.

So fresh and well roasted

I feel spoiled, now. I had some of my “regular” store picks and it doesn’t hold up anymore. Beware, you may ruin your taste for non-fresh coffee.

I had some of the Harrar and will get some Yirgacheffe soon. Looking forward to it!

Delicious!

Ethiopia Harrar is the coffee you want to drink if you prefer medium to dark roasts. It is not as rich as a dark roast, but the chocolate and nut flavor profile is spot on. I am not usually a fan of fruit forward coffees so I was pleased that Moii offers Harrar that I was willing to try.

I have American friends who have visited and lived in Ethiopia and I'm excited to recommend Moii to them.

Delicious coffee. I brewed with a Chemex. Heavy chocolate notes. Will purchase again.
